My belated condolences to the Eison family. I met Mr. Eison about ten years ago on the Ancestry.com message boards. I was not directly related to him; my grandmother's ancestors were slaves belonging to Mr. Eison's second great uncle in Tennessee. Still, Mr. Eison was kind enough to share some of the family letters between the brothers with me. I thank him for that, and for the kind letters he sent me. God bless your family, and I hope that you have comfort knowing that your loved one is at peace.

Both my husband Jerry Schulz and I worked with Jim at the old Museum of Science and History through the 1970s and 80s. Jim was truly one-of-a-kind and absolutely devoted to the old arsenal building. He told such wonderful stories about Little Rock history, especially Mt. Holly Cemetery. We will always remember Jim as a special person.

I will miss you, Jim. We shared a lot in years gone by and you gave me such a rich history of the past life of the museum. You were one of a kind and will be dearly missed always! Thank you for how you enriched my life in so many ways.

Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I knew him at the Museum of Science & History in the 70s. He was always full of stories and interesting facts about the Arsenal building and other historical buildings and events. You might have said that he was quite a character. I'd say that Little Rock has lost quite a resource. Rest in Peace.
