I just found out this morning that my first cousin Dale recently deceased. I remember Dale well from his early years. I am ten years older than Dale. My father Noel was an older brother of his father Irvin who recently passed away. After our becoming adults, i have not seen or talked with Dale in many years. I always asked about him when i talked with his Dad. I will always remember him going to Mabelvale First Methodist church. His parents were not attending church. Dale is the one who was responsible for bringing his parents into the church . I reminded me of the scripture " a little child shall lead them." That is exactly what he did for his parents. As a church leader and teacher that always brought joy to my heart to know what he did. I was so pleased to read that he was another Brown Sunday School Teacher. I want to say to his wife, children and grandchildren that pray God 's blessings upon you as your grieve your loved one. He was a precocious little boy. I only wish i could have known him as an adult. I wiil look forward to joining him one day in Heaven. Since i am an 85 year old man that may be sooner than later.

Dale was the teacher in the older Sunday School class at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church when Janet and I entered it so many years ago. He was a wonderful, gentle, and engaging man in his teaching and in his personal life. We count it a privilege and a blessing to have known and loved as a brother in Christ for many years. It saddens us to loose Dale but at the same time we look forward to that great reunion in heaven when the Lord returns and calls His children to Him.
