Coy Sory, of Little Rock, Arkansas died January 21st 2017 at the age of 97.
Mr. Sory was born June 4th 1919 in Scott, Arkansas to Dillard and Ethel Sory. He grew up in Scott, Arkansas and married Neola Thompson on December 22nd 1939. He served in the Army and was a veteran of WWII. Coy retired from Kroger as a truck driver at age 60. He was a deacon and led the choir for many years at Reynolds Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Iron Springs Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his wife Neola Sory of 68 years and sons Hershal Sory, Duane Sory; daughter-in-laws Robbie Sory, Nancy Sory and grandson Matthew Sory.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Bettye and Robert Taylor of Little Rock; grandchildren Ritchie, Brit and Mysie Taylor, Becky Sory, Jeremy and Jill Sory; April and Rick Hendren; Dusty and Jeri Sory and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 12 noon, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800. Mr. Sory will be buried at Pine Grove Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Coy's life.
