I know this is almost five years later, but she was my great grandmother and I loved her so much. She was so funny and sweet, even if I was being a bit of a brat. She was so religiously involved, caring, and she loved her family very much. I remember a few months or so before she moved on, she was laying in bed not feeling good. As I was on summer vacation, I asked her if we could get a snow cone. I feel bad about it now, but she kindly declined my request because she was feeling bad. But I begged and begged her and she finally agreed. That was the kind of person my grandma Laverne was. I remember when she first moved in with my grandma Tyna I was so excited to have her living nearby as we barely ever saw her. Over the past four and a half years, I've grown closer with Jesus and now realize why my grandma was so thankful for her life and family. I will continue to pray for her even though I know there is no way she isn't in Heaven.
