of Hot Springs, AR
April 1, 1941 - December 9, 2016
Wilma ''Jean'' Stuart, 75, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away December 9, 2016. She was born April 1, 1941 in Ozan, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert Cook and Bertha Millwee Cook. She was married to Jesse for 30 years, he was a career military and she was very proud of that.
She was a very devout member of Geyer Springs First Baptist and the Keenagers. She formerly attended Indian Springs Baptist Church. She also played the organ and piano in church. Jean was always willing to help people, by visiting and driving them to their doctor appointments or whatever she could do to help someone.
Jean drove a school bus for Bryant Public schools for 30 years. If the bus riders got a little rowdy, she would pull over and sit. Then they knew to behave. She talked about her kids on her bus and wrote about that in her journal. She also drove a mail truck, was a substitute teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Stuart; her step-son Mitch Stuart and her parents. Jean is survived by her daughter, Donna (Curt) Rosa of Hot Springs; four grandchildren: Ben Stuart of Hawaii, Brice Rosa (Cindy) of Chicago, Illinois; Sydney (Christopher) Flud of Little Rock, Arkansas and Brayden Rosa of Hot Springs; her special and dear friends: Betty, Sheila, Willa, Mary Francis, Shirley, Nona, Faye, and Mary. Jean also loved Max, her Chihuahua.
Funeral service will be 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be at 12:30 P.M., an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow service at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander.
As I read the messages, I feel like I know you all, as Jean spoke so loving about each of you. I know she will be missed and pray peace for you all. Curt worked with, and carpooled with Jess, but when they came to Indian Springs Baptist Church a special friendship developed. We worked together on XYZ activities and senior adult trips. She had a giving heart and used what she had to support the needs of others. Donna, you have been a superb daughter and Jean loved you dearly, as she did her grandchildren. She was so proud of each one and everything they accomplished. Her dearest wish is that all her family would love and follow Jesus. She looked forward to that grand reunion ,as she is joined in eternity. May God's peace, strength and comfort be with you all. She will be missed. Love and prayers to you all, Mary and Curt.
I know you are resting in peace sweet Aunt Jean. So happy we were able to talk a few weeks ago and I was able to tell you how much you were loved. You will be missed but we will see you again. Prayers for your sweet family. And we loved the obituary Donna...it was a true expression of how wonderful, kind and giving your mom was.
On first meeting Jean, her beautiful smile and friendly personality made me feel as though I had known her forever. I will miss her communications but know that she is in a much better place. Rest In Peace, Jean.
Such a sweet lady. Just loved her. You will be missed for sure, Aunt Jean.
So sorry to hear of Jean's passing. She was such a sweet lady. She and Hardy (our cousin) visited with us during trips to Florida and we really enjoyed having them. Rest in peace, Jean.
Prayers for this precious family. Jean was such a rock and we loved her dearly. May your happy memories bring comfort throughout this time of sorrow. Love to all.
Jean was a wonderful Aunt and very loving family member. Whenever we would visit, she was the most gracious hostess and saw to our every need. Her smile and laugh were delightful and she will be sorely missed. We know she was a committed Christian and is with our Savior right now. Rest in Peace, we will miss you!
