Garry Lee ''GQ'' Quillin, age 59, peacefully passed away Friday October 21, 2016, at Cox Hospital in Branson, Missouri. He was born February 2, 1957, in Graham, Texas, the son of Jackie and Anna Lou (Capps) Quillin.

GQ married the love of his life, Debby Clark March 1, 1980, in Breckenridge, Texas and they were happily married and remained best friends for 36 years, 235 days, 15 hours and 23 minutes. He could always quote how long they had been married when anyone asked. He attended Midland High School and worked at Wabash Wood Products until retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and loved to catch bass in the pond at the back of their property. He enjoyed attending Life Abundant Church in Bergman, Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Debby Quillin, his two sisters, Arlena Thurmond and husband Gary of Sweetwater, Texas and Mary Rhone Lovette and husband Ben of Wichita Falls, Texas; his two brothers, Howard Capps and Murray Capps, both of Sweetwater, Texas; and his very special dog, Lucy; and many dear friends.


Visitation was Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Monday, October 24, 2016, at Life Abundant Church, with Pastor Billy Edgar and Sister Kathy House officiating.

Pallbearers were Jim Breece, Dee Cawthon, Frank Dell, Jeff Harris, Gary Linden, Roger Littlefield, A. J. McCarville, Kevin Mills, Tommy Willis and Bob Pinson.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Tarik Sidani, Dr. Kenneth Collins, Henry Garcia, Carl Morgan, Ben Lovette, Sam Hinson and Scott Shook.

Burial was in York Cemetery at Bergman, Arkansas.

Debbie, We are so sorry about GQ,he was a very kind and considerate man,always friendly and never seen him without a smile,he was a very strong and determined man and refused to give up,he wanted to do it himself no matter what,May Jesus be with you now to help you deal with loosing him just remember you can always lean on Jesus,without a doubt we know this is the hardest time in your life,just remember you have lots of friends to lean on and we all will be there for you,May you receive many Blessing from our Lord in the future to help you deal with loosing GQ.We love and care about you.
