Jackie Lee Gilbert, 67 of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Clarksville. Mr. Gilbert was born November 12, 1948 in Clarksville to Mr. John and Lillian (Glueck) Gilbert. Jack enjoyed camping, floating the creek, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a journeyman carpenter for 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Bobby, Doyle, Larry, and Gary Gilbert.
Mr. Gilbert is survived by three daughters, Leetha and Brad Reynolds, Christal Gilbert-Willis, and Jacqueline and Michael Riggio all of Lamar; five grandchildren, Brennan Gilbert, Cadence Riggio, Tylee Willis, Brooklyn Riggio, and Ava Riggio; one sister, Constance Leavell of Clarksville; two brothers, John Marvin Gilbert and Victor and Brenda Gilbert all of Clarksville; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Glenn Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lamar Cemetery. Tyrone Willis, Michael Riggio, Ronald Hodges, Verlon Farris Jr., David Moore, and Wayne Gilbert will serve as pallbearers. Brennan Gilbert, Victor Gilbert, John M. Gilbert, Christopher Hull, Clay Gilbert, John Ashley Leavell, James Robinson, Steve Fetters, John Brown, and Verlon Farris Sr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.

This was a man that had taught me many things but the one thing that I will always remember is how to treat the people who care for me. I will miss this man for the rest of my years. I love you papaw Jack. -your favorite grandaughter
My grandpa was a very kind and gentle man. Wish that my sisters would have gotten to know him better.
I'm so very sorry for all of my daughters and grandchildrens loss of a wonderful love they got to share with Jack.He loved you all dearly. I'm so glad he was my girls daddy.Brown eyed handsome man.

My heart goes out to all family members. My prayers are with you all always, even from afar. I wish I had been able to get to know my uncle better but from what I can remember, he was a very funny and kind man. He will be missed by all.

Just looking at my High School Yearbook the other day, read what Jack wrote and couldn't help but smile and remember some good times we all had back then. My condolences to the family!
