Richard LaValle, age 80 of Leslie, Arkansas in the Flag Community, passed from this life on Sunday, October 11th, 2015 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 26th, 1934 to Salvatore LaValle and Anna Guarneri LaValle.
Richard served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He married Merlene Lundy and they shared 60 blessed years together. Richard spent the majority of his working years as a painter in the metal works and construction business. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable and flower gardening, cooking and music. He loved singing to his grandchildren. Richard was a very family oriented man and loved visiting with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Jimmy, Joey, Nancy and Mary.
Survivors include his wife Merlene (Lundy) LaValle of the home; three sons, Richard J. (Doris) LaValle of Diamond City, Vincent C. (Debbie) LaValle of Marshall and Anthony M. (Venita ''Lulu'') LaValle of Harrison; two daughters, Sabrina A. Ivy and Charity L. LaValle, both of Leslie; grandchildren, Richie LaValle of Yellville, Mindy Long of Bentonville, Keri (Levon) Stanridge of Marshall, Anna Lammey of Bruno Pyatt, Chance (Kim) LaValle of Marshall, Naomi LaValle of Leslie, Marcus LaValle of Harrison and Sarah LaValle of Leslie; great grandchildren, Cassidy, Payzley, Parker, Gaby, Destiny, Nicholas, Jaden, Taylor, Dakota and Daniel; sister, Lillian Viscusi of Brooklyn, NY; brothers, Alexander and Donald LaValle, both of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends who will also mourn his passing.
Arrangements by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 15th, 2015 at Angora Cemetery near Oxley, Arkansas with Brother Leo Murphy officiating. Pallbearers will be Chance LaValle, Marcus LaValle, Richie LaValle, Warren LaValle, Michael LaValle and Anthony LaValle. Honorary pallbearers will be George Daniels, James Hubbard, Levon Stanridge, John Strong and Ralph Reed.

our hearts has a special place for Richard. We knew him only a short time at Highland Court, but when we met Richard we have known him for a lifetime. Prayers go with your family in this time of great loss.
