Eugene Hill, age 77, of Harris Brake, died, July 2, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Paron, AR born May 6, 1938 to the late Gracie and Harvey Hill. He was retired from Arkansas Face Veneer after 29 years. He also retired after 10 years of service with the Benton School District. Eugene spent thirty five years enjoying his passion of umpiring softball and baseball in Saline County at the city parks, which is how most will remember him. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and spending time with family especially his grandkids. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Syble Hill of fifty-nine years; son, Larry Hill and wife, Sherry of Prattsville, daughter, Renna McKim of Perryville; grandchildren, Brant and Blake Hill of Prattsville, Shawna McKim of Perryville, Chance and Cody McKim of Perrryville; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Stan Hill of Benton, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2015 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047). Interment will follow at Cameron Cemetery in the Salem Community. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Zuber, Shannon Hill, Ken Hill, Greg Pelton, Lance Pelton, Bruce Cowart, and Bobby Zuber.
Visitation is from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the funeral home.

Eugene will be missed by many. Especially me. He met my husband Jack first when we bought our place on Harris Break Lake. They became fast friends. Both of them having such great personalities! My husband and I thought the world of Eugene and he of us. My heart goes out to Sybil and the family. Love you all!

So very sorry for your loss! Ya'll are in my thoughts and prayers! Love the picture that's exactly the way I picture Eugene when I think of him. He umpired many of our softballs game at Salem Ball Park and was always fair even when he had to make a call on Renee. He was one of a kind, very nice, always friendly and had a smile on his face every time I saw him. He will be missed.
