Mrs. Delouris Lea Akins, 84, of Clarksville, passed away June 30, 2015 in Clarksville. She was born March 16, 1931 in Durant, OK to William Nelson and Fanny May (Stinson) Russell.
Delouris enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, reading and puzzles. She was a member of East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church.
Mrs. Akins is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Akins and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Greta Akins of Clarksville, Shawn Finch of Greenbriar, and Freda Compton of Jasper; grandchildren, Leslie Wilson, David Shipman, and Tim Shipman; great-granddaughter, Adara Shipman.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Akins funeral service will be 10:00a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 held at East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church with Bro. Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Grove Cemetery.
