Margaret Morando

of Leslie, AR

November 25, 1936 - April 15, 2015

Margaret ''Marge'' Lillian Morando passed from this life the morning of Wednesday April 15, 2015 at her home in Leslie AR of natural causes. She was 78.

Born November 25th, 1936 in Seattle Washington to parents Frank and Margaret Cain, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband James ''Jimmy'' Morando and son James R. Morando. She is survived by her remaining children Steve Cain of Brookings, OR, Sherrie Stephenson of Eugene, OR, John E. and Patricia A. Morando of Dennard, AR and Elise G. Morando of Dennard, AR. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Born to a military family, Marge grew up on the move. Visiting and living in various state and island locations she eventually came to settle down in the small town of Leslie AR, with her husband Jimmy. She lived close to the Earth in life and spirit. She could be found most days among her garden and was never too far from her beloved animal friends. A resounding voice for animal rights and co-founder of the Leslie, AR Humane Society, Marge dedicated her life to those without a voice.

Cremation and a small ceremony for family will be held in private as were her wishes.
Known for her sharp wit and jovial laugh Marge was the embodiment of a strong and independent soul. You could not cage her. You could not silence her. She flew free.

Please allow me to offer my condolences to the, Morando family with these healing words: “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29. On the basis of this Scriptural information, we today can look forward joyfully to a “new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” (2 Pet. 3:13) That righteous rule with its miraculous resurrection of all those in the memorial tombs will bring gladness to the heart of many who now mourn their dead. I am very sorry for your loss. May God's Word comfort the, Morando family and all those who loved Margaret. Sincerely, Meryl
