Charles Adams Weaver, age 85, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mr. Weaver was born January 1, 1929 at Marianna, Arkansas to the late Earnest Weaver and the late Cecil Adams Weaver. He was a retired police chief for the city of West Helena, a Mason, member of West Helena Baptist Church and was retired from the Naval Reserve.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen Maree Weaver; one son, Pat W. Weaver (Beverly) of Dover, Arkansas; two daughters, Becky Weaver of West Helena and Lisa Weaver Williamson (Kirk) of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, Desirae Weaver, Danielle Weaver, Josh Weaver, Amanda Hoefer, Katelyn Williamson, Adams Williamson, Caroline Williamson and Aidan Williamson; one great-grandchild, Kyle Hoefer; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three children, infant twins and son, Mike Weaver; grandchild, Landon Williamson; and three brothers, L.D., Elbert and Floyd Weaver.
A service for Charles Weaver will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at West Helena Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at West Helena Baptist Church. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena. Brother Joe Garner will officiate.
Pallbearers are Rusty Evans, Clyde Murphy, Tommy Ray Gatlin, Josh Weaver, Adams Williamson, Steve Ragsdale, Jr., and Aidan Williamson. Honorary pallbearers are Lester Helton, Tom Cross, Jimmy Biddle, Shorty Storey and Kirk Williamson.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas State Police Association or to West Helena Baptist Church.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

sorry to hear about captain/chief weaver,he was very honest at the job he had an a very honorable man as a every day person.He would always have time to speak when he seen you an give advice.We really need more Charles Weavers in our police forces these days.May u rest in peace Mr Weaver. I am so sad to hear about Mr. Charles' passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I know that the Lord will keep you and comfort you through this trying time.
I spent many hours with the Weaver family and I thank you guys for all the wonderful memories. We made many trips to the levee to check the cows with Mr. Charles. loved those days.
