Mr. Charles Gramling, 84, of Brookland, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 20.1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Claud and Viola Shipman Gramling.
Charles was a member of Bethel Church of Christ. He loved to garden and do carpentry work and formerly worked at Hytrol.
Preceding him in death are his parents; two brothers, Leonard and Claude Gene Gramling.
Survivors include his wife, Glendene, of the home; two sons, Wayne (Laura) Gramling and Eddie Gramling all of Brookland; two daughters, Sharon (Marvin) Cook of Paragould and Deanie (Glen) Talley of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, Sean Haff, Nick Haff, Jamie Brown, Scott Goad, Blake Goad, Tiffanie Bartsch, Amy Gramling, Jonathan Gramling, Candace Weeks, Catherine Bell, Cody Willoughby; nineteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Ronnie Gramling.
A chapel service at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home will be Monday at 2:00pm with Brother Lonnie Pyle officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Finch. Pallbearers include grandsons, Sean, Nick, Scott, Blake, Jonathan and great grandson, Hayes Haff.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
