Vera M. Thomas, 87, of Conway passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011. She was born on Friday, July 20, 1923 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Lula Mae (Moren) Hand.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, faithful woman of the church, who was loved by all. She will be missed by those who loved her. She was a member of Conway Pentecostal Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Grant and her husband Bert; three grandchildren, Tasha Baker, Madison Grant, and Joseph Grant; sister, Margaret Pasternack; and close family friend, Kathy Cobb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyman Hand and John Hand; and one sister, Ellen Friebolt.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Reverend Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Conway. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, February 28, 2011.

Bless her sweet heart.... Sis. Thomas was a sweet lady, christian and wonderful cook....my husband will miss her orange slice cake and I will miss her singing at church and her timely phone calls. She loved her family deeply and will want them to be in heaven with her that was the most important thing to her...that her family be saved. God bless the family.
