Sara Ann Cooley, 78, of Bigelow, AR, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Trinity Health and Rehab in Byhalia, MS. Sara was a graduate of University of Memphis and University of Alabama and was a speech pathologist with the VA in Little Rock, AR until her retirement. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Conway, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents Shade and Nora Cooley and her lifelong friend, Mary Jane “Jamie” Sandidge.
Her brother Jerry Cooley, his wife Carmen, nieces and nephews survive her, and “Her Girls” Karen S. Hegwood, husband Lamar and Jane S. Yarbrough. She also leaves her much-loved friends, Carolyn and Bob Risser and Helen & Sherman Sublett.
Funeral Services will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 25,2009 at 1:00 p.m., with entombment to follow at Crestlawn Mausoleum, in Conway. Sara’s wish was that any memorials be sent to Marshall County Humane Society, PO Box 625, Holly Springs, MS 38635 or Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Conway, AR.
