Jerry Blaine Newcomb, 70 of Mountain View, Arkansas died on November 20, 2009 at Batesville, Arkansas.

Jerry was born September 19, 1939 at Fifty Six, Arkansas to Clyde and Opal Norman Newcomb. He married Patsy Mitchell in 1959.

He was saved and joined the Shady Grove Baptist Church in July 1974. He was an inactive deacon at Shady Grove due to his ill health.

He is survived by his wife Pat of the home; one son Allen and wife Sherry Newcomb and three grandchildren Llena’, Kelby and Kaleb Newcomb all of Summerville, Georgia; one sister Gail Kemp Vaughan of Mountain View, Arkansas and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Juanita Elms, and brothers-in-law Eulos Elms and Dean Kemp.

Visitation is 4 – 6 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2009 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mountain View, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Ragland, Bro. Junior Avey and Bro. Eddie Passmore officiating and interment in Fifty Six Cemetery, Fifty Six, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Randy Elms, David Elms, Kenny Kemp, Eddie Passmore, Gary Norman and Steve Norman.
