Elizabeth Carol Cate, 59 passed away unexpectedly in her home Friday morning, November 20, 2009. Visitation will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday, November 22, with a memorial service at 3 P.M. on the same day, both at Marion United Methodist Church in Marion, Arkansas. Carol was a career kindergarten teacher at Avondale School in the Marion school district and a devoted member of Marion Methodist. She is survived by her husband, William L. (Bill) Cate of Marion, her daughter Sarah Cate of Memphis, and her son Wesley Cate and daughter-in-law Anna Cate of Huntsville, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents,George H. Wright and Bertha Hankins Wright of Erin, TN as well as five brothers and sisters. She is survived by eleven brothers and sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Marion United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
