Brenda C. Mathis

Brenda Christine Mathis, age 59, died on November 7, 2009, at the Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Brenda was born on April 12, 1959, at Harrison the daughter of Nathan G. and Virginia Edmonson Gibbs.

Brenda was of the Baptist Faith. She spent her life in the health care field working in hospitals, doctor offices and she ended her career in health care education. She loved being mom and grandma (Mamaw) to her children and grandchildren and was known as a good story teller.

Mrs. Mathis is survived by her husband Larry of the home. Four sons; Gary Mathis of Springdale, Ricky and Kathleen Mathis of Green Forest, Michael and Meghan Mathis of Fayetteville and Kevin and Clare Mathis of Fayetteville. Her brother David and Carolyn Mathis of Green Forest. Four grandchildren; Rikki Lynn Hyatt, Brandon Mathis, Donovan Mathis and Austin Mathis.

Pallbearers were her sons and grandchildren.

Visitation was at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison on November 10, 2009.

Services were Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Rev. David Jackson speaking.

Burial was in Farewell Cemetery in Carroll County.
