Maurice S. Hutto
August 26, 1925 - November 7, 2009

Maurice S. Hutto, 84, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009. He was born August 26, 1925 in Galena, Kansas, and moved to Bee Branch, Arkansas, at a young age. He was the son of Seth M. and Annie Hutto. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He then traveled the world, working at sea, and retired in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He loved his work, his travels, his home, his family and he was a Baptist. He was a kind, happy and generous man and loved by many. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.V. Hutto; and a brother-in-law, Jack L. Thomas.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce H. Thomas; a nephew, Steve L. Thomas (wife Kathy and daughter Abby); and a niece Melinda B. Martin (husband Kirby and son Matthew).

There will be a graveside service at Bee Branch Cemetery on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72207-6354. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brad Baltz and all of his staff for their compassionate care.
