Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Dianne Murrell Lumpkins; son, Jason Lumpkins and wife, Courtney of Cabot; daughter, Wendy Graves and husband, Kevin, of Gainesville, TX.; grandchildren, Jase Lumpkins, Kayli Lumpkins, Alexis Graves, and Maci Graves; his mother, Margaret Lumpkins of Benton; and brother, Jim Lumpkins and wife, Marcy, of Benton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 16, 2007 at First Pentecostals Church of Benton with Rev. B. J. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at
Visitation will be 5:00 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 15, 2007 at First Pentecostals Church of Benton. Services provided by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
Memorials may be made to Arkansas District UPCI, Save Our Children's Fund,

To Sis. Lumpkins, Wendy and Jason, My prayers and thoughts are with you. May God bless and comfort you in your time of loss. Although it has been many years since we worked together at Craighead Christian Academy, I still cherish your friendship and the memory of Bro. Lumpkins. He was a kind man who gave away his life to the service of God. Although his life was way too short, he accomplished much for God and was an example of a true servant of God.
God bless and help you through this difficult time.

Sis. Lumpkins, Jason, Wendy and Sis. Margaret... We are so sorry for your loss, but happy for Bro. Lumpkins ! I can just imagine the smile on his face right now ! You were all so kind to us when you were in West Helena. We will always have fond memories of you all.
We are deeply saddened about the loss of this great man of God. Bro. Lumpkins tirelessly worked to lead the West Helena church to a deeper level of praise & worship while he pastored here and I'm sure he will be leading the way in heaven. He was a very dear friend and we will always remember his kind and caring nature. May God bless the family as they cope with this loss.

Brother Lumpkins was a kind and giving man that touched my life and the lives of my children, especially my son Brad, when they attended West Helena Christain Acadamy . We will never forget this dedicated man. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.
I will always remember Brother Lumpkins as a wonderful example of what a true Man of God was supposed to be. His devotion to God, his family, and church was truley inspirational. Although it's been several years since I've seen him, the example he set has always been with me. Wendy and Jason, my prayers are with you.

It has been 26 years since my last conversation with Rick, but I will always remember him as a kind and gentle giant. I will always remember him as the "greatest softball player ever!"

Brother Lumpkins was a very good friend of ours. I worked with him as a Sunday School director for many years in Arkansas. I also worked with him in many youth camps. He was a wonderful christian and a great minister and singer. He will be greatly missed.

I am saddened by the departure of Rev. Lumpkins. I had worked with him when he was our Chaplain at the Benton Police Department and thought a lot of him for all he did for us and the community. Rick will always be a treasured friend and one of the finest pastors I have ever known. We worked together in some very difficult situations and he was always there for me. His family, his church body, his friends and the State of Arkansas will miss him very much. Well done good and faithful servant.
