As i sit here with a heavy heart this early Monday morning at 4:00 am i am pondering what makes a Great Dad.Well the Lord Blessed all 5 of us kids with one. While growing up i remember many of times when dad would come in from work and be so tired but would take those work clothes off (per Mom making sure he did) as she knew what was coming. Yup to the back yard for a little football, kickball, baseball or whatever we could come up with or a long walk on the levee to the Ark.river. He always found time for us kids no matter what.Yes like any Great Dad there had to be those times that we needed...well lets say some talking to but at the end of that talk me myself i didn't like.As i have grown up i now understand the meaning that came from the end of all those talks.I just hope and pray i can be half the man he was.He will be MISSED dearly and THOUGHT of Daily just as is Mom. So i say Dad I LOVE YOU with all my Heart and Thanks so very much for all the memories but most of all Thanks for teaching us what we should know as grown-ups and that is LOVE. Say hi to Mom. With Love your son Michael Hugh Cox and Family
James was a genuinely good person to work with and truly kind hearted who touched the lives of others in a positive way daily.
so sorry for your loss your family is in my thoughts and prayers
We loved Jimmy so very much! He was such a blessing in our lives. He was a faithful Christian and wonderful example. I never did figure out the secret handshake he and Terry had! We will miss him, but we know he fought the good fight and kept the faith. We know he has received his crown! Much love and prayers to all of the family!

Mark and family, our prayers are with you at this time. May The Lord hold you up and may His peace and His wonderful comfort surround you and carry you. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7)
Thoughts and prayers to the Cox family. We loved Jim so much. He truly was a pillar of the Mabelvale Pike Church of Christ. Every time the door was open: for services, private studies, business meetings or get-togethers , Jim was there. He was always encouraging and positive, even when he was not feeling well. Jim liked spending time with church people. For many years we met Jim every Wednesday night for dinner before services. It was a great time to visit, tell stories and share a few laughs. We are so thankful for the time we had with him.
He will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. It has been years since I last saw you all, but your memories are with me always.
All my love, Karen
