Joshau L. Hill, 34, ''A Mountain of a man, with the heart of a child'', died Sunday, February 17, 2013 in Atlanta at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Cindy A. Hill, of West Memphis, AR; father, Terry (Deborah) Hill of Heth, AR; maternal grandmother, Shirley Robbins of West Memphis, AR; daughter, Sophie Hagan of Cape Girardeau, MO; aunt, Sherry Jennings of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Randy (Kate) Hill of Memphis, TN, Rodney Robbins of West Memphis, AR, Ben Robbins of Jonesboro, AR, Randy Robbins of Dumfries, VA, Travis Tarver of West Memphis, AR; fiancé, Leslie Peeple of Memphis, TN; stepbrother, Joseph Almeda of Heth, AR, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A chef, a friend, a dreamer. Our hearts are heavy, our love for him never-ending.
Joshau is preceded in death by George and Edna Hill and Willis (Bill) Robbins.
Memorial services will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 2:30 PM.

i was shocked to hear the news of Josh going home to the Lord. I had not heard from him for a while so assumed he was off on a wonderful adventure somewhere in the world. Well, I guess he is in a more exotic location than this planet. he will be missed and thought of with love , humor and respect.

To Josh's family.... I am so so sorry for your loss. I just heard the news. Josh and I were suppose to go to Vegas together over Thanksgiving. I was so upset that he never got back to me. It just goes to show... here one day gone the next. He will be very missed by me. We dated in Baltimore, and remained close friends. Often times we talked about owning a beautiful home in New Orleans Rose District. I can't believe he is gone.

To the Robbins family:
I was so saddened to read about Joshau's death. I did not know him personally but from all I've read he definitely had a lot of the Robbins family personality!!
I hate that I did not get to attend the Memorial Service. I have often thought about growing up across the street from your family on Alta Vista and wondered where everybody was now. It is a shame we lost touch and times like this really make you stop and remember the special friendships we have been blessed with throughout our lives.
My family will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. And again, we are sincerely sorry for your loss.

I was so saddened to hear of Josh's death. In his time in Heber Springs, we talked of a mutual dream to provide healthy, tasty meals in a good restaurant venue to families, for a cost of what they could pay. We talked of community vegetable gardens and restaurant gardens and flavors and fairness for all. Josh was a kind, big-hearted man, a talented chef who left this world too soon. I imagine an appropriate memorial for him might be spreading his vision for "soup kitchen" restaurants as an alternative to McDonald's or funding research in MRSA.
My heart goes out to Josh's family and everyone whose life he touched. What a tragedy to lose such an amazing man to pneumonia.

I am sorry for the loss of your child. I was not privilged to meet him, but the remarks from others gave me some insight to this young man. I know you will miss him, but memories can never be erased - enjoy what you remember about him.
It has been a long time since our pathes have crossed, but I still remember when your family moved next door to us in Marion. Through the notice in the paper I am aware of where members of your family are, especially your Mom and Sherry. I pray for peace and strength for you and your family as you go through this time. I had the pleasure of meeting "Chef" about 6 years ago while he was working in Baltimore. Man was he a trip! Always something goofy to say.
