Steve Kerr, age 68, of Harrison, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 13, 1940, in Harrison, the son of James William and Amy Lucille (Morris) Kerr. Mr. Kerr was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve was the owner of Steve's Service Station and Kerr's Truck Repair and Wrecker Service. He loved to hunt and fish and will be dearly missed by all those
who knew him.

Steve Kerr is survived by his wife, Barbara (Copeland) Kerr, of the home; his son, Billy Kerr; his daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Kerr and Lisa and Tony Chong; his step-daughters and their husbands, Susan and Joe Shields and Gayla and Bruce Edmonson; his step-son, Charles Mears; and his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Randall Richardson.

Steve is also survived by five grandchildren, Chanda Horton, Noel Griffith, Kristen Kerr, Joseph Kerr and James Kerr; two step-grandchildren, Joseph Shields and Ian Edmonson; four great-grandchildren, Summer Horton, Logan Malone, Trenton Malone and Daniel Griffith; and a host of other family and friends throughout the community.

Funeral service was officiated by Charles "Chicken" Hodge.

Pallbearers were Johnny Crawford, Randall Richardson, Toby Arnett, Gene Griffith, Jeff Horton and Tony Chong.

Honorary pallbearers were Hospice of the Hills Hospice House Staff, Eli Roomsburg, Ron Mashburn, Lanny Brader, Dale Copeland, Mark Bristow, Rick Vanzant, Rick Sparrow, Glen Coffman, Jack Drewry, Larry Mount and Don Bailey.
