Misty Leigh Kane

of Harrison, AR

April 7, 1965 - April 18, 2024

Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Misty Leigh Cantrell Kane, was welcomed to her Heavenly home on April 18, 2024, at the age of 59.

Misty was born on April 7, 1965 in Harrison, AR, the daughter of Gregg and Linda Cantrell. Her greatest aspiration was to follow in her father's footsteps, who she said: ''did a lot of good''. As a registered nurse, gifted with an innate passion for serving others, Misty was successful in doing a lot of good in her life as well. She devoted her career to geriatric nursing, where she found joy and purpose in advocating for elderly patients. Misty also blessed others with her talents as a musician, artist, and poet. From a young age, Misty could play any instrument she touched. She enjoyed singing Sunday specials with her mother and friends in church. She loved the Lord and was an active member of the United Baptist Church. Misty left behind many paintings, drawings, and written words that will continue to be a cherished testament to the impact she made on those around her.

Misty was preceded in death by her father, Gregg Cantrell; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Eva Cantrell; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Elsie Cope and cousins, Paul Brasel, Davin Oliphant, and Sandy Lucas-Dietrich.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Cantrell; brother, Randy (Mitzi) Cantrell; husband, Buster Kane; daughter, Nina Griffith; son, Miles Griffith; aunts, Ann Mason and Jan Oliphant; cousins, Richard (Judy) Cantrell, Pam (David) Lafferty, Debbie Horn, Danica (Dusty) Rhodes, Becky (Tony) Morse, George Mason, Brad (Holly) Duck and Matt (Jamie) Duck, Pam Duck; nephews, Gavin Cantrell, Jake Wynn, and Maverick Wynn; nieces, Kate (Dustin) Sims and Jeni (Cale) McCall; granddaughter, Mckinzie Griffith and a host of other family and dear friends.

Graveside service was held at Maplewood Cemetery on Saturday, April 20, 2024, with Brother Kevin Vaclavicek officiating.

Pallbearers were Randy Cantrell, Gavin Cantrell, George Mason, Brad Duck, Matt Duck, and Dustin Sims.
