Mildren J. Crow

of North Little Rock, AR

September 18, 1924 - April 11, 2024

Mildren ''Millie'' Crow, 99, of Little Rock, Arkansas was born on September 18, 1924 and passed from this life on April 11, 2024.

Mildren was born to the late Will and Annie Adams of Tuckerman, Arkansas. She grew up near Brinkley, Arkansas, where she met Horland Crow and they were married in December of 1942. In 1944, Horland returned from serving in the Air Force during World War II. He and Mildren settled in Southeast Missouri, where they farmed for 4 years. Their daughter, Judy, was born in 1947 and in 1948, they moved their little family back to Brinkley, Arkansas . A final move in 1953, led Horland, Mildren and Judy to North Little Rock, Arkansas, where they built a home and resided for many years to come.

Through the years, Mildren served as a devoted homemaker. Her home was always spotless and hot meals were always on the table at meal time. She loved gardening and grew an abundance of their food each year. She canned food through out the summer season and prepared for the cold months ahead. She loved working along side her husband in the yard, keeping a beautiful home inside and out. She and Horland worked together through their 73 years of marriage and had a loving and welcoming home for both family and friends. They loved when family came to visit and they frequently made road trips to visit family in other states.

Millie and Horland loved the Lord and they were dedicated to their local assembly and the Body Of Christ. They were always at church when the doors were open. They travelled many miles to meet with God's people in various services and meetings across the country. They loved to fellowship and had a multitude of Christian brothers and sisters.

She lived to be 99 years and 7 months. She had travelled many places and had seen the world advance and change in more ways than we can imagine. She loved life, loved friends and family, and most importantly, she loved God!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horland Crow; her parents, Will and Annie Adams; her brothers, Ralph, Harvey, Howard and Gene Adams and her sisters, Bernice Cagle and Beatrice Eaton.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ronald Metheny; her granddaughter, Rebecca Orr; her great-grandchildren, James and Allison Orr and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM, at First Gospel Church of Little Rock. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at 12:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held on a later date on Thursday, April 18th at 1:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made to Arkansas Hospice.
