July 20, 1938 - March 6, 2024

Rosanne Dovel, 85, of Russellville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord March 6, 2024. She was born July 20, 1938 in Alhambra, CA to Louis and Cecelia Sacksteder.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Sacksteder and her sister, Mary Jane Hurd.

Rosanne earned a BA in Chemistry from lmmaculate Heart College, Los Angeles, CA and an ADN in Nursing from College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, IL. She was employed as a Chemist for the Food and Drug Administration and as a RN in Wheaton, IL and Mountain Home, AR. Rosanne married the love of her life, Donald, at All Souls Catholic Church in Alhambra, CA in 1962 and together they raised three children.

Rosanne had an adventurous spirit, loved music and to become acquainted with new people.

Rosanne is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald Dovel; Sons, Craig Dovel (Susan), Brian Dovel (Karin) and daughter, Monica Baxter (Chuck); 3 grandchildren, Michael Dovel, Cayce Ladyman, Jake Baxter; along with many other family and friends, she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Mauricio Carrasco at Saint John's Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 12 at 10:00am. Rosary service to be held preceding at 9:30am.

I first met Rosanne in college where we were both Chemistry majors. Our friendship blossomed after graduation and continued over the years. Although we lived on opposite sides of the country, we always kept in touch. She was my dearest friend and I will miss her until we meet again in eternity.
