Paul Rogers, 62, of Wilson passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. He was born in Osceola, Arkansas on October 11, 1961 to James and Faye Rogers. Paul worked as a farmer, for Viskase in Osceola and American Greetings in Osceola. He enjoyed drag racing, hunting, fishing and working on old cars and trucks. He was a member of Wilson First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Carol Rogers; daughter, Rebecca Johnson (Garrett); grandson, Brenstyn Johnson; brother, Ricky Rogers and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Floyd Rogers and Sister, Helen Rogers.

Paul inspired me with his street racing in that gold Chevy pickup for me to go on with my racing as a career it’s him that inspired me to make it to NASCAR and work at RCR racing and Rick Hendricks Motorsport in the nineties! Please accept my condolences thoughts and prayers for the family.

Paul was one of four children but his dad took care of many more kids (scouts) and as Ricky and when Paul got out of diapers, they came along too.
