Hilda Helen Valentine Stewart, 98, of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was born July 11, 1925 in Kauai, Hawaii to the late Julian and Jaunita Torres Valentine. Hilda was also preceded in death by her siblings, William, James, Bella, Rudy and Tony Valentine and one son, Wallace Valentine.
Hilda is survived by her children, Carl Valentine, Judy Yielding, Vickie Wilcox, Glenece Troxler and Debi Nabholz; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Hilda was a longtime member of Conway Church of the Nazarene. She was employed at the International Shoe Factory (SAS) and Conway Human Development Center. Hilda enjoyed singing in the choir, cooking and gardening. She was witness to the attack on Pearl Harbor. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Hilda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at 10am Friday, January 19, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, with the funeral service following at 11am. Bro. Hunter Bezet will be officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Valentine, Heath Dycus, Jason Dycus, Matt Wilcox, Stewart Wilcox, Spencer Wilcox Clay Nabholz, Stan Yielding, Kyle Troxler and Greg Cunningham.

I just heard the news and even though I'm not around I just want you to know that I love you so much grandma...and I'm sorry for everyone's loss..I love you so very much and it goes to show that we aren't promised another day on this earth...I miss you...I have always missed and loved you...your granddaughter Michelle

I am very sorry this is so late but I am just finding out about Mrs. Hilda's passing. I used to live next door to her on Mill St. My mom and I send you our condolences in the loss of your mother who was such a wonderful person. We send you our prayers.
I have so many sweet memories of Hilda from church. She always had a wonderful smile and a friendly “hello”.

Loved Ms. Hilda! She was a blessing to everyone. She always had a smile, hug and an encouraging word to share. Oh and those amazing coconut cream pies. If you didn't get dessert early at the church potlucks, you would certainly miss a slice of her famous pie. I know that she is singing a song and rejoicing in Heaven. What a wonderful life and precious lady! She will be missed. Prayers for the family during this difficult time.
