Donna Susan Emmons
"Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'" - Proverbs 31:28-29

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and GG, Donna Susan Emmons, who departed from this world on March 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old.

Donna was a beacon of hard work, selflessness and faith throughout her life. Born on April 16, 1957 she lived a life enriched with her intense love of family and unwavering faith in God. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

Donna's passion for nurturing others led her to pursue a career in nursing. Donna was also an accomplished homemaker and was renowned for her cooking, with her delicious meals bringing family together around the dinner table nearly every night. Her recipes will be cherished and passed down through generations, as a testament to her love.

Donna was devout Christian and very active in her church. She faithfully attended weekly services, sewed hundreds of dresses for Operation Christmas Child, decorated for Vacation Bible School, visiting the sick and providing meals for the infirmed or social gatherings.

Above all else, Donna treasured her role as a devoted wife of 45 years, mother to two daughters and proud GG to 6 grandchildren. She earned the name GG (''Greedy Granny'') because she rarely wanted to give up holding a grandbaby. Donna always had a smile and a hug for her grands and they truly brought so much joy to her life. She showered her family with unconditional love, support and wisdom, creating a stable, Christian home filled with love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Alan; her devoted children, Kimberly (Matt) of Marion, AR and Karin (Chris) of Memphis, TN and her adoring grandchildren, Adahline, Aubrie and Atticus Odom and Regan, Sydney and Eli Thompson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Wildean King and brother, Steve King. She is survived by her siblings, Debbie (Bob) Crawford, Sandra Trent, Charlotte (Don) Upshaw, Glenda (Roy) Causbie, Joe King, Annette King; along with countless nieces and nephews.

The family expresses deep and special thanks to the caregivers Ms Tina Evans and Ms Patty with the Elite Hospice team.
