Jimmy Wayne Ralph, Sr., 70, a resident of Ozone passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born August 10, 1953 in Clarksville to the late Earl Nathan and Bonnie Mae (Bishop) Ralph.

Jimmy served in the United State Army in an artillery unit. After his military service, Jimmy spent his career as a police officer. In his more than 28 year career, Jimmy served as a deputy for the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the Arkansas Highway Police, the Clarksville Police Department where he served as police chief and most recently with the University of the Ozarks Office of Public Safety. In his spare time, Jimmy enjoyed trout fishing on the Norfork and White Rivers, deer hunting and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Jimmy was also known for his excellent ability to weld, which he did as a part time job with Kline Machine Shop in Clarksville and his advanced skill level of martial arts, especially Taekwondo.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters and a granddaughter, Marina Ralph.

Survivors include his four children, Aleisha Hays and husband, Ronnie of Knoxville, Jimmy Wayne Ralph, Jr. of Clarksville, Daniel Lloyd Ralph of Scranton and Jacob Ralph and wife, Lisa of Cabot; seven grandchildren; two brothers, William Earl Ralph of Spadra and Michael Don Ralph of Hartman and a sister, Sue Hart of Altus.

Cremation arrangements are private under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville.
